Planning for retirement, when the board will let me.  Passionate about animal welfare, keen birdwatcher, determined to improve ID skills.  Enjoy classical music, particularly Rachmaninov and Schubert, jazz and country/bluegrass.  Competent photographer using both Nikon and Canon DSLR systems.

Birding equipment includes Swarovski ATS80  scope with 20-60x eyepiece, Minox HG 8×33 binocular and Zeiss Victory FL 10×42 binocular.  I use a Giottos MTL9251B tripod with the MH5011 head kit.  Very sturdy and not too heavy to carry around.
